Reading the Market
Paul Zimnisky, Rob Bates, Dave Siminski. Moderated by Andrea HillAug. 21
As a 15th generation jeweler, owner of Geller Blue Book, and recent MBA graduate from Emory University, Jonathan Geller is carrying forward the legacy established by industry pioneer David Geller while building the next chapter of the business. Geller Blue Book is the industry’s only comprehensive pricing resource for jewelry repair and custom design, helping jewelers simplify pricing, improve margins, and build customer trust. His focus is practical and direct: turn the bench from a loss leader into a reliable profit center, one clearly defined SKU at a time.
He also serves as President and CEO of D. Geller & Son in Atlanta, where he has led the creation and refinement of operational systems across sales, marketing, management, and accounting. His work centers on disciplined growth, consistent execution, and a clear standard of customer experience, ensuring that every department contributes to long-term strength and profitability.
Before entering the family business full time, he served four years in the United States Army’s 4th Infantry Division. A Distinguished Military Graduate of the University of North Georgia, he led as an Infantry Platoon Leader and later as a Headquarters Company Executive Officer at Fort Carson, Colorado. In those roles, he trained and led soldiers, managed large-scale equipment accountability, and was responsible for mission readiness across multiple units. His military background continues to inform his leadership approach, grounded in accountability, preparation, and service.
Driven by leadership, community, and high standards, he brings a rare combination of heritage, operational discipline, and modern business thinking to the jewelry industry.
