at JEWELERS OF AMERICA, INC.
Susan Thea Posnock is the Director of Public Affairs and Education for Jewelers of America (JA). Through JA public affairs, she works on issues related to responsible business practices in the jewelry supply chain, as well as legislative and regulatory issues and policies that impact the jewelry industry. Posnock also oversees JA’s education department, which includes in-person workshops, webinars, professional certification and discounts and scholarships toward leading industry education.
Posnock has more than 25 years of experience in the journalism and public affairs fields. Prior to joining JA, she worked as senior editor for National Jeweler, where she covered the international diamond and jewelry industry.
From taxes to tariffs, from fighting crime to strengthening the supply chain, the jewelry industry has a role to play in shaping government policies that affect jewelry businesses. In this session, Susan Posnock, Jewelers of America’s Director of Public Affairs and Education, will discuss the advocacy efforts JA has undertaken on behalf of the industry. The session will cover the effects of current government policies on the present and future of the industry and how individuals and businesses get involved.
